About
Every Moment is a Memory
From the Artist:
The work Nebula XI is part of a series of abstract paintings that are born from the observation of the cosmogony, the parallel realities, the idea of time, which demonstrate the cosmic principles. Through painting I immerse myself in a more spontaneous creation, letting myself be carried away by the color and the random shapes that appear with the stain of the color of the watercolor, trying to stop at the right moment where the balance of all the masses is achieved of color and spontaneous gestures of the brush, creating that connection of one with the cosmos.
I experiment a lot with the watercolor technique in my abstract, I do not have a plan, I paint according to how I'm progressing in the painting. I use a 300 gram watercolor paper and first I soak it in water then I stretch it on a board, I leave some bags that are formed by the wet paper as part of the composition of the painting with the watercolor palette ready to paint I apply the paint explosively on the wet cardboard, here the painting is more instinctive. The composition of the colors is expressive with a lot of contrast, I combine the colors with the help of the wet paper that the color runs on this forming all those textures and combinations of colors.
I always take care of the blank areas of the paper, do not drop any paint, pouring some clean water with the brush over those areas, so keep those areas clean of color, that's the area of light in the watercolor. All the paint I solve in a few minutes, I let the paint dry, in the end I give a touch of color or lines to balance the composition these watercolors are more spontaneous, but one needs to have experience in color theory, and to be able to choose the right colors to paint is the result of much practice. To paint watercolor it is good to have the right brush, I use a goat hair brush and ox hair for watercolor, one large and one small.
